*Due to the COVID-19 environment, this year's camp will function as a day camp. We intend to return to the residential camp setting for summer 2022.

Sr High Engineering Camp

Camp Dates: July 12 - 16, 2021
Format: Day Camp (for 2021*)
Time: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday
Camp Fee: 225.00
Note: Some Scholarship funding available

* Sr High camp 2021 is canceled due to low enrollment. We will return to a residential camp format for summer 2022.

Jr High Engineering Camp
Entering 7 - 9 grade, fall 2021

Camp Dates: July 21 - 23, 2021
Format: Day Camp (for 2021*)
Time: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, Wednesday - Friday
Camp Fee: 175.00
Note: Some Scholarship funding available

Jr High camp 2021 will run as scheduled.

All campers will need to register using the registration link below. The registration is completed using the rSchoolToday platform. The link provided below will direct you to our engineering camp offerings.

  • Select the camp session you will attend
  • Select the "Pay Later" checkbox if you want to pay later from an invoice, or you can pay the full amount at check-out.
    - Campers planning to apply for a camp scholarship should choose the "Pay Later" option. Payment can be made once a scholarship amount is determined and deducted from your balance.
  • You will be asked to log into your account at some point in the registration process
    - If you have registered for other programs that use rSchoolToday and already have an account, log in with your credentials
    - If you have registered for our camps in the past few years, but did not register directly through rSchoolToday (as it was not required) an account may have been set up for you under the primary parent's email.
    - If you do not have an account, you will need to create an account as you move through the check-out process.
  • You should receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of completing your registration.
  • Starting May 15 a camper/parent packet will be sent to all registered campers.



1. Pay in full at time of registration: If you paid in full at the time of registration your confirmation email serves as the receipt of your registration.

2. Pay from a provided invoice: Once registered you will receive an invoice within two weeks to make your payment.

  • To make a credit card payment in full you may log back into your rSchoolToday account. NOTE: You will need to make the full payment when paying through rSchoolToday.
  • To pay in partial payments by credit card, contact the ICC cashier's office located in the ICC Bookstore at 218-322-2360. The bookstore/cashier's office is open Mon - Fri, 9:00 am - 2:00 pm.
  • To pay by check in full or partial payments, send a check to Itasca Community College / Attn: Kim Damiani / 1851 E Hwy 169 / Grand Rapids, MN 55744 (include camper name & camp session in memo line)
  • If you are applying for a camp scholarship, please wait to make your payment until you are notified of your scholarship resuts and any remaining balance. Check out the scholarship section on this page.
  • NOTE: All final payments should be made no later than one week prior to the start of your camp session.


  • All final balances must be paid one week prior to the start of your camp session.
  • Cancellations must be received no later than June 15, 2021 in order to receive a full refund.
  • Refunds after June 15, 2021 can only be processed for medical reasons (confirmed in writing) or extenuating circumstances as determined on a case-by-case basis.

Several scholarship opportunities exist to help students attend ICC Summer Engineering camp. Scholarships are made possible through generous donations from organizations, individuals, businesses, and schools. Campers who would like to apply for a camp scholarship may still complete the camp registration form in the "Registration & Payments" section and select the "Pay Later" option. Payments can be made after you have been notified of your scholarship results and any remaining balance. Below are scholarship opportunities for summer camp 2021 and the applications to apply. ALI - Applied Learning Institute
The Applied Institute and ICC Summer Engineering camp are offering partial and/or full scholarships to students entering the 9 – 12 grade (fall of 2021) who are enrolled in an ALI affiliated school in NE Minnesota.

AAUW - American Association of University Women - Grand Rapids Branch
The American Association of University Women - Grand Rapids will offer scholarships to two female students enrolled in an Itasca County School district. Selected applicants will attend one camp session in summer 2021.

Garrett Larson Memorial Scholarship
In remembrance of ICC Summer Engineering Camper Garrett Larson, the Larson family will offer scholarships to interested incoming campers entering grades 7-12 grades who reside in Minnesota.

Garrett Larson Memorial Scholarship

  • We will continue to monitor and follow the latest CDC guidelines for safety in an academic setting.
  • A registered nurse:
    - assists the camp with health-related protocol
    - checks in with camp staff daily
    - is available in an on-call status throughout the week.
  • A camper information packet will be mailed to all registered campers starting May 15. The information packet will include:
    - Camper health and safety-related paperwork
    - COVID-19 protocol to be followed.
    - Daily drop-off/pick-up procedures, etc.

ICC's summer engineering camp can creatively make use of a wide variety of items for student project work. Many of these items may be found as part of your spring cleaning and decluttering. We can also use other items such as snack items, first aid items, recreational equipment, cash donations, and more. Although some of our camp activities may be scaled back slightly due to the extra precautions surrounding COVID-19, we are happy to take any donations that can be used this year or in future camps.
