Residential Life
Itasca's housing facilities are designed for comfortable, convenient student living and are funded through special grants to the ICC Engineering Program. Engineering students will be given priority until May, after which spaces will be filled on a first come, first served basis by new or current ICC students.
Itasca Hall This facility opened in the fall of 2005 and houses 75 students. Eleven units accommodate six students each, while the remaining three units accommodate three students. There are triple, double and single room options in the suites. All suites are equipped with a kitchen area, bathroom and bedroom space with bed, desk and wardrobe for each student as well as Internet, cable and local phone services. Students need a calling card for long distance calls. The first floor of Itasca Hall is a commons/lobby area with public restrooms, student mailboxes and easy access to the Department of Residential Living Office. The laundry room is located on the third floor for student use. Main meals are prepared for residents by the campus food service and served at the college cafeteria.
Wenger HallThe third floor of the Engineering Center houses 36 students: 12 residence hall rooms with three students to a room. Rooms are completely furnished with study desk, chair, bed and wardrobe for each student. Each room has its own private bath.
Because the housing is directly above the classroom studios, students have access to computers and study space 24 hours a day. In addition, individual rooms and exterior building entrances are secured 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
A commons/kitchenette area equipped with a stove, refrigerator, sink and microwave is also on the third floor. This space is intended as an area for residents to prepare light meals and snacks, gather for activities, conduct meetings and socialize. Main meals are prepared for residents by the campus food service and served at the college cafeteria.
