Counseling OfficeCounseling and career guidance are
an integral part of a student's program at Itasca. All students have the
opportunity to discuss vocational, educational and personal interests and goals
with a counselor. Other counseling services include:
- Academic advising in the areas of course selection
- Study skills
- Goal-setting
- Motivation
- Career assessment
A counselor is available by appointment or on a drop-in basis during
the day and on selected evenings at the beginning of each semester. With
both technical and transfer programs available at ICC, counselors work daily
with graduates seeking either employment or transfer to a four-year college or
university.
At Itasca Community College, we feel very strongly that the
best decisions are based on the right amount and right kind of information. Our career counseling services focus on assisting students in making
important and timely decisions about majors, careers and colleges that best suit
their interests, values and skills. In addition to one-on-one time with a career counselor, students enjoy the wide variety of career resources
found on the worldwide web:
If you
