Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center draws on the social issues series published by Greenhaven Press, as well as core reference content from other Thomson Gale and Macmillan Reference USA sources. The result is an online library of current event topicsthe facts, as well as the arguments, of each topic's proponents and detractors.

This resource presents multiple sides of an issue and provides the basis for developing persuasive arguments and essays, better understand controversial issues and develop analytical thinking skills.  Points of View Reference Center contains over 1300 topics, each with an overview (objective background/description), point (argument) and counterpoint (opposing argument).
