You'll find complete instructions on web registration on the first page of the class schedule. If you feel uncomfortable with the web registration process, you can register by making an appointment with your counselor. After you have planned your schedule, just bring your signed registration form to the Student Services Office. The number of completed credits are the total credits you have prior to this semester.

New Students

New Students who are registering for seven or more college credits or plan to enroll in an English or math course are required to take the placement test. The test assesses reading, math and computer skills and provides valuable information we can use when registering for classes. To schedule an appointment to take the placement test, call the Student Services Office at 218-322-2320 or 800-996-6244, ext. 2320. Student must bring picture ID to the placement test

Transfer students who plan to transfer credits from another college may be exempt from taking the placement test. Students who attended a college that is not part of Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU) need to send ICC an official copy of their college transcript. All transfer students should make an appointment to meet with an ICC counselor to register for classes. Call 218-322-2320 or 218-322-2430

ACT Test - Students who have a sub-score of 24 or higher in Math and/or English  are exempt from taking the test. Students need to submit a copy of their score to ICC.

Post-Secondary Options (PSEO) students cannot test and register on the same day. For spring semester, PSEO students  need to take the placement test by Friday, December 3. Fall semester, PSEO students can register beginning Monday, June 6. PSEO students must take the placement test by Wednesday, May 25.

The placement test can be taken at any Minnesota community college. The test is NOT timed, so you may pace yourself. It will begin at the posted time, and on average, students take two hours to complete both assessments (reading and math).

New students will register with the help of an adviser.  Please make an appointment to register at one of the following registration sessions by calling the Student Services Office at 218-322-2320 or 800-996-6422, ext. 2320. 

Student can take the test on the same day at 10 am and register once they have finished testing. If you are testing for another college or retesting please call 218-322-2430 to make an appointment.

Fall  / Spring Semester 2011 -  All registration session begin at 10 am

New student application deadline is Monday, August 15. Students registering after this date should call 218-322-2320 to make an individual appointment.

Students who plan to major in engineering should attend one of the following registration sessions. Please call the Student Services Office at 218-322-2320 or 800-996-6422 to make an appointment. The Registration sessions will be in Wenger Hall. Testing locations are listed above.

Post Secondary Enrollment Option (PSEO) Registration Sessions

High school students enrolling under the PSEO program can register on the following dates. Please call the Student Services Office at 218-322-2320 or 800-996-6422, ext. 2320 for an appointment. PSEO students registering for fall semester must take the placement test no later than Wednesday, May 25. PSEO students interested in engineering should make an appointment to register during one of the engineering registration sessions listed above.

Practical Nursing Registration Sessions

Students who plan to start the Practical Nursing Program Fall Semester should attend one of the following registration sessions. Testing and registration session locations are listed above.
