Costs at ICC (2008-2009)

Tuition/Fees (estimated until Board of Trustee approval)

$149.64 per credit (MN resident rate)   

$182.54 per credit (Non-resident rate)

On-line courses are an additional $25 per credit.

Reciprocity rates are available for students from North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin and Manitoba.  Typically, non-resident  tuition is reduced if you're a reciprocity student.  Applications are available in the ICC Records Office.  Non-Resident tuition rate is 125% of resident rate.


Books

Books will cost approximately $31.66/credit for most classes (on  average - $950 for the academic year).  (Note:  Books and supplies for engineering students are estimated at $1,500/year.) Check on used books to reduce this expense.


Housing/Meal Plan

Students who live in Itasca or Wenger Hall are required to carry a meal plan.  

2008-2009 costs per semester for housing and meals are as follows:

Note:  The cafeteria will serve breakfast and lunch.  On-campus students will be required to deposit $500 each semester into a meal account.  The student's meal cost will be subtracted from this account each time they purchase food in the cafeteria.  The cafeteria will be opened August 25 through December 19, 2008, at which time the money will expire.  Spring semester the cafeteria will be open January 12 through May 14, 2009, at which time the money will expire.

Students are required to send in a $200 prepayment to secure a room.  All applicants are asked to complete a room assignment preference form.  This information is used to place students with other residents with similar interests. Below is a reasonable budget for a full-time student (30 credits) for the nine-month 2008-2009 school year based on Minnesota resident tuition/fees of $149.15 per credit
