Taking classes at more than one school??
You can only receive your financial aid from
one school in a given term.
Contact the Financial Aid Office about a "consortium
agreement". Your financial aid should be
processed by the school whose degree/diploma/certificate you are
currently seeking (the home school). The class or classes you take at the "host" school MUST be applicable to the degree/diploma/certificate you are pursuing at ICC (the home school).
NOTE: You
are responsible for paying your charges at the "host" school. ICC
does not automatically pay the "host" school from your financial aid
funds.
Example: You
are working on the Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree at ICC.
This semester, you plan on taking 3 classes at ICC (10 credits) and one
online class through another school (3 credits). The online
class will apply to your A.A. requirements at ICC.
After you are registered for classes at each school,
contact the ICC Financial Aid Office to get a "consortium agreement" or
print an online form.
Once the form is completed with the proper registration
attached, forward it to the ICC Financial Aid Office.
Your financial aid will be calculated based on your total
enrollment of 13 credits.
IMPORTANT: Be sure to do this prior to
the start of the term!
IF you are working on another school's
degree/diploma/certificate, ICC cannot process your financial aid even
if you are taking some of your classes here. (Exception:
you can receive federal student loan funds for up to one year if you
are taking pre-requisites at ICC in order to be admitted into a program
at another school.)
