Vikings Volleyball
Coaching StaffLeslie Reed is in her seventh season as the Head Women's Volleyball Coach. She has been working hard to make Itasca Volleyball one of the top programs in Minnesota. Coach Reed achieved 100 wins this season after Itasca defeated Mesabi on October 13, 2007.
The 2007 season started slow, but finished strong, going 4-2 in the second round of conference play. The team ended up with an overall record of 7-17 and a fifth place finish in the Northern Division with a record of 5-7.
Coach Reed previously coached at Virginia High School, compiling a record of 81-33 and leading her team to the 2000 Minnesota State Volleyball Tournament. She is an alumnus of Itasca Community College and played on the volleyball teams in 1989 and 1990.
Assistant Coach Guy Carlson is now in his sixth season. He brings expertise on relentless defense and quickness to the team. Volleyball has been a part of his life for the past 26 years, so his experience as a player is vital to the Viking program.

Affiliations
Itasca Community College is a member of the MCAC (Minnesota Colleges Athletic Conference) and NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association) Division III.
The MCAC consists of two divisions (north and south). Itasca is in the Northern Division, which is considered to be one of the best in the country. Minnesota is a great volleyball state, and Itasca is hoping to become a force in the Northern Division for years to come.

After an outstanding career at Itasca Community College, she is currently playing at Bemidji State Unversity as their libero. At Itasca, she earned numerous honors that include: All-Region, All-Division, MCCC All State, and MCCC All-Tournament team as a freshman and sophomore. She was ranked nationally in digs both years and finished her sophomore year ranked third in the country in digs per game.
Joslin Geisler:

Joslin helped put Itasca volleyball on the map. With her all-around play and leadership, she lead Itasca to two state tournament berths, finishing second both years and Region 13B runner-up her sophomore year. At Itasca she earned numerous honors that include: All-Region, All-Division, MCCC All-State and MCCC All-Tournament team. She is currently playing at Bethel University as a libero/defensive specialist. She is also Chelsea's older sister.
