COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course focuses on defining, practicing, and improving students' abilities to write for different media such as newspapers, radio, television, and the Internet. Students will gain a better understanding of how the media effectively communicate with text by studying various techniques and styles. Special emphasis will be placed on ethical and legal aspects regarding objective writing for journalism and subjective writing for public relations and advertising.
