Industry Internships
ICC strives to have students involved in experiences working along side their instructors in professional settings. Recently, ICC was awarded funds through the Blandin Foundation to support an internship program with area industries. In this new program, groups of three to five students along with a faculty member, work directly for a local industry doing real engineering projects. Students are paid by the companies. The teacher models effective engineering habits and relates the internship learning to the classroom learning.
In addition to the industry internship opportunities, community leaders sometimes call on our instructors and students to assist in evaluation and assessment of isolated engineering challenges.
Visit this page again. As pictures and student comments about their experiences become available, we will share them on this page.
