Security Agent Surveying CrowdThe curriculum of the Strategic Security Studies program focuses on trends in terrorism and the methodologies employed to detect, deter and respond to terrorist activities. Special attention is placed on identifying behavioral characteristics associated with terrorist operations.


This program will prepare you to transfer to earn a four-year degree in criminal justice, criminology, homeland security, terrorism studies, intelligence studies or emergency management. All classes will be offered online, so if you are currently working in criminal justice or a related field you can easily take a few classes to improve your skills in these growing areas.

Instructor Information

ICC's Strategic Security Studies instructors have a wide variety of training and experience in areas such as Law Enforcement, Special Weapons and Tactics, Homeland Security Advising, as well as careers in Military Special Forces. They have conducted high level protective detail missions in both domestic and adverse environments.


The program is designed to incorporate the knowledge of additional subject matter experts, all of whom have had “boots on the ground” experience conducting a variety of operations around the globe.
